SIMS Staff

SIMS is able to remain the leader in the central station software industry due to the skill and loyalty of our staff. Even competitors with twice as many employees and half as many customers don't operate as smoothly as SIMS. This is in large part due to over 100 years of experience in the security and public safety fields.

Ken Utley, President - The heart and soul of SIMS since the beginning. Ken is the programmer of our SIMS I, SIMS II, Telelogik and VaporPaper (DOS) applications. Prior to SIMS, he held several other positions in the alarm industry developing products that helped shape alarm panels into what they've become today.
Kim Utley, VP Development - With SIMS from almost the beginning, he is currently the programmer for the SIMS for Windows application, FormWriter, ComServer and SIMSSql applications. He also writes most of the conversion programs and has probably written hundreds of utility programs for our customers.
Keith Utley, VP Sales/Marketing - Joining his brothers a couple years after SIMS got started, he handles the business end of things. A gourmet chef in a former era, he keeps things running like a five star restaraunt.
Steve Ryckman, VP Technical Services - Coming from a competitor in 1994, he overseas all technical operations including in house network infrastructure, the SIMS Disaster Recovery Center and the Customer Support department. He is also the programmer for the Central Station Manager, SIMSWeb and VaporPaper for Windows products. Steve was an alarm installer/owner as well as a firefighter in a former era. He is a Certified Database Consultant, Certified HTML Developer and CSAA Certified Operator Level I and II.
Dixie Vasquez, Sr. Customer Service Technician - Joining SIMS in 1999, she is one of the front line personel that handles your inquiries whether support or sales related. She specializes in the FormWriter and ComServer product lines in addition to all the monitoring products. She is also a CSAA Certified Operator Level I.
Tom Utley, Installation Technician - Joining SIMS in 2004, he is responsible for the setup and testing of all customer computers that come to our office. He also assists the support staff with network related questions/problems and does on-site installation services for customers requiring assistance in their facility. He is also a CSAA Certified Operator Level I.
Carlos Gutierrez, Customer Service Technician - Joining SIMS in 2006, he is also one of the personel that handle your support inquiries. Coming from a SIMS site in Colombia, he is familiar with our products. In addition to customer service duties, he will be updating our manuals and on-line help.
Laura Romero, Customer Service Technician - Joining SIMS in 2010, she will mostly be working with our Spanish speaking customers but may occasionally answer the other lines if we there are calls waiting. She is the newest addition to the SIMS team.
Bebe, Roxi & Cody, Official Mascots - These Yorkie's are the official mascots and guard dogs at SIMS. You'll spot them on the webcams sleeping while the rest of us work unless someone dares to come in our front door. Occasionally may see one or more of Roxi and Cody's puppies in the office visiting as well.
