| SIMS Product Overview |
| Monitoring Software |
SIMS II was created, and continually evolves, based on the sum total of not
only our knowledge, but also the central stations using our software.
A DOS based monitoring software which is extendable with our SIMS for Windows product. It is
our flagship monitoring package, the most advanced, but also the simplest to use.
SIMS II can be extended even further with our ComServer, FormWriter, SIMSSQL, Telelogik,
SIMSWeb and SIMSLink add-on products.
|
SIMS for Windows is an add-on for our SIMS II monitoring package. Although it does not
contain receiver interfaces (can't be run stand-alone), other than that it has all the
features and capabilities of SIMS II and much more. A true 32bit Windows application that
takes advantage of all the power and performance that Windows can give you. Since SIMS for Windows
is an add-on to SIMS II, your operators can use either SIMS II or SIMS for Windows or even
have them both running at the same time. This gives you the flexibility to transition from DOS to Windows at your own pace.
|
C.S.M., also called Central Station Manager was acquired in the purchase
of TAMCO in the early 90's. CSM is a feature rich monitoring package at an affordable
price without all the bells and whistles of SIMS II. CSM is a DOS based package and although
more limited than SIMS II, is a good solid monitoring package.
|
SIMS I is the original SIMS monitoring software. Even though SIMS I doesn't handle
some of the newer formats as gracefully as CSM or SIMS II it is a very stable monitoring
package for sites that like to keep things simple.
|
SIMS Receiver Server is an utility program which works with SIMS II and CSM to allow them to interface
with newer receivers and multi-port cards that the applications can't talk with directly. It works with the existing
receivers as well and provides many other benefits to the central station.
|
| Communications |
SIMSWeb is a web server that gives your dealers and/or customers access to their accounts via a standard
web browser. Granular security lets you control who can view history, account listings, edit accounts, view signal traffic, place accounts out of service and more. SIMSWeb now includes "SIMSWeb Lite"
at no additional charge - allowing PDA's and smartphones with Pocket Internet Explorer access to many of the same
features, in a low bandwidth environment.
|
SIMSLink allows remote synchronization of the monitoring database over modem
or internet connections. Similar to SIMSWeb but in a staged environment whereby the data
is sent to a remote location for changes and/or reports to be made and then sent
back to the central station when done.
|
Telelogik is a touch-tone response system. It permits dealers and/or customers
to place their accounts on test, get a readback of signals that have occured and even cancel
alarms using a touch-tone phone.
|
FormWriter allows the central station to customize reports and run them on a scheduled basis.
Reports can be emailed or faxed (ComServer or other Fax software required). No more running
reports manually and feeding them into the fax machine or cutting and pasting them
into emails.
|
ComServer is the communications gateway for SIMS II monitoring centers. It acts as the
interface between SIMS II, SIMS for Windows, CSM and FormWriter and handles the down and dirty tasks involved
in sending reports by fax or email. ComServer can also be used to send alpha and
digital pages from SIMS II and SIMS for Windows.
|
SIMSSync is an application which links
two or more SIMS II Central Station Databases and keeps them synchronized in real
time. It also maintains a real time Backup of the respective Databases at
each Site. Database integrity is important and SIMSSync is the right tool
|
| Other Products |
SIMSSql will begin signalling the movement of the SIMS II database to the open
architecture of SQL. This Windows based product will synchronize an SQL database with the
SIMS II traditional database. This synchronization allows other applications that know how
to work with SQL databases to query and/or modify the SIMS II monitoring database.
|
VaporPaper is an environmentally friendly product that replaces the printers
on each receiver and logs the information to disk in an indexed fashion. Gone are the days
of dusty/noisy printers and boxes of paper in the central station once VaporPaper enters the picture.
|
SIMS Accounting Engine is an interface between the SIMS database and many common third-party accounting packages.
|
SIMS Accounts Receivable consists of an Accounts Receivable and Invoicing/Billing solution
which is integrated with our SIMS automation software. Designed from the ground up for this industry
it handles recurring cycles from daily through 99 years, multi-level tax and commissions,
up to 26 different price brackets per product and more.
|
SIMS WatchDog was created to allow remote monitoring of whether applications crucial to the operation
of your business are running. It will monitor and can alert you if an operator
exits a crucial piece of software on purpose or accidentally. It can notify audibly
and/or send emails to let you know that everything that should be, still is running.
|
SIMS LiveUpdate is an application that allows our customers to ensure they have
the most current versions of our products. Simply install SIMS LiveUpdate on the machine that
our windows based product is installed on and LiveUpdate will sense which programs are installed
and go get just any new updates for those products for you.
|
SIMSXfer is the utility program that schedules and creates the scripts
used for the automated backup service of the SIMS Disaster Recovery Center.
