FormWriter is a Windows 95/98/NT 32-bit compatible application that is designed to allow the SIMSII user the ability to create custom report forms and generate them on scheduled basis. In addition to these capabilities, FormWriter utilizes a very powerful sort/sift algorithm that gives you the ability to sort/sift the SIMSII database by virtually any field(s) you choose. Once the report is completed, you may choose to route the completed report to one or more of the following devices: e-mail, fax, print file, printer, and screen.
FormWriter makes creating custom report forms easy by choosing a report form type and then selecting the appropriate SIMSII database field(s) and position(s) on your report form. FormWriter gives you the ability to create custom reports for any dealer and/or subscriber.
Once you have created the report form, you can schedule the report form to be generated daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, every Monday, or at the beginning of every month. FormWriter gives you complete control of when reports will be generated. You are able to utilize the sifting capabilities of FormWriter by specifying a range or certain characters to search for in the SIMSII database while also specify whether the search is to a case sensitive, sliding, or whole word search. The sorting capabilities of FormWriter allow you to sort the completed report by any SIMSII database fields and even change whether FormWriter will sort the fields in ascending or descending order. Once the report is completed, FormWriter will route the completed report to the one or more of the configured devices setup in the report parameters.
To simply the task of e-mailing and faxing a report, FormWriter lets you create and manage an e-mail address book and a fax phone book. You can even import your current SIMSII e-mail addresses and fax numbers into FormWriter at any time.
